MI Consecration Prayer

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you. If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: "She will crush your head," and "You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world. " Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. V. Allow me to praise you, O Sacred Virgin R. Give me strength against your enemies

My consecration

After some thought I have decided to consecrate myself to Holy Theotokos on Dec. 12. The day of Our Lady of Guadalupe . May I grow in my devotion to Our Holy Mother and be a prayer warrior.

Consecration of Militia Immaculata

Two weeks ago I was presented with a worldwide evangelization movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917 that encourges total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a means of spiritual renewal. This was done so by my good friend Scott who is consecrated himself earlier this year.

It took little hesitation for me to be attracted to such a mission. I had already been growing in my love for Our Holy Mother. On top of that I have always wanted to increase my prayer life and MI uses prayer as it's main weapon. Remind me of Francis of Assisi "Preach the gospel everyday; if necessary, use words". Militia Immaculata seems to do that all to well. God Bless them.

Unfortunately my decision for actually joining hasn't gone as fast as I thought. My wife is concerned that it will take more time away from the family. It is a very legitimate concern and one that all Christians should be wary of. Upon further discussion with my wife I will soon decide. Pray that I do God's Will always.

Peace In Christ

On our way...

It seems that after months of searching, we have found a direction for our group.  The Militia of the Immaculata www.consecration.com.

We will spend the next week or so working out the details, but we hope to be a place to gather... an MI village for people who can't meet locally, or who want to spend time with other members and grow in our love for Christ and his mother.

Hope to have more info soon.

Wonderful little book

I went early to confession this week and was reading the church bullentin. On the bottom shelf sat a small yellow and white paperback book which read Full Christianity: A Catholic Response to Fundamental Questions  by Richard Chilson.

Absolutely wonderful little book. Highly recommend it. Simple read and has several questions with answers that every Catholic should know.

New forum site.

Hello all.... what a pain in the neck!  Our old forum site has apparenly crashed or gone out of business.

I pray that the few people we had as members can find their way to our new (and much improved!) forum site: CIA Forum.

Hope to see some new members drop by!  We are going to be starting a group book study of Called to Communion by Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) sometime later this month... hope you'll join in!

In Christ,
Scott

Forums still down

The Catholics In Action forum is still down... I apologize for anyone who has tried and tried to get to the site.

I have been told that the forums will be back online by Sept 7th.

Bless you all, and thanks for your patience and understanding.
